  Contactless Smart Card Technology

   Data is stored on an integrated IC chip that is not visible
externally. Hence more flexibility in terms of card design.

   Memory capacities on active read/write tags can vary from
64 bytes to 32 KB.

   Data is viewed/altered by using contactless readers/writers
that operate on microwave or radiowave frequency.

   No contact with readers and hence longer life of the card.

   Multiple applications can be performed on a single card.

   High speed transaction time.

  Magnetic Stripe Card Technology

   Used extensively in both financial and non-financial sectors.

   Data is stored on a magnetic stripe located on the card.

   The magnetic stripe can have 1, 2 or 3 tracks that can store numeric and alpha numeric data.

   Data stored on a magnetic stripe can be easily viewed or altered.
